The episode begins with four of the five liars (Hanna, Spencer, Alison, and Emily) surrounding Aria. The night before, Charlotte, also known as "A" or "Cece Drake," was killed by a bell tower when she was released from the mental home. The liars are suspicious that Aria might be the reason why "A" was murdered. The night Charlotte was released, Aria left from her hotel instantly. Aria told the girls that the night of the release, she was out eating with Ezra Fitz, her former boyfriend.
Also, the viewers find out that Ashley and Aria have a new significant other that they met during the five year gap. On the other hand, Spencer is starting to catch feelings for Hanna's ex-boyfriend, Caleb. Spencer also still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend, Toby. Emily broke up with her girlfriend, Paige. So far, Emily does not have a significant other. Alison is still dating Lorenzo, a police officer who is close with Toby.

I don't think Aria killed "A." She wanted nothing to do with "A," so why would she want to be around that killer?

I DEFINITELY think that the liars should go back to their exes! I really miss and adore the old couples. It would be hard for me to ship the new relationships.
